500 Internal Server Errors

Common reasons for "500 Internal Server Errors" include all of the following:

  • You have failed to upload the *.pl or *.cgi file in ASCII transfer mode.
  • You have failed to set the permissions (CHMOD) on all *.pl and *.cgi files to 755.
  • The path to PERL (first list of every *.pl and *.cgi file) is incorrect. If this is the case, please first try adding " -w" to the line, and if this fails to work, please contact your web hosting provider concerning the proper path.

    If you continue to receive "500 Internal Server Errors" after rectifying *.pl and *.cgi files in accordance with the above rules, please create a ticket for additional help.
