If when calling a CGI program the program's actual source code appears rather than the HTML content that the program should display, there are a number of possible causes to this.
Incorrect Path to PERL
Please contact your web hosting provider concerning the proper path to PERL on your server. The path to PERL appears on the first line of all CGI scripts.
Incorrect Environment
If your server requires that all CGI programs be placed in a certain directory, please ensure that the CGI program has been properly loaded into that folder.
CGI/PERL Not Properly Installed
Another problem may simply be that your web hosting provider did not properly install CGI/PERL on your server. If you are running and Unix or Linux server, this shouldn't be a problem.
Windows Server
Please note that CGI programs by Ascad Networks do not function on windows servers, therefore this problem may occur if you attempt to install one of our programs on such a server.
